How 'That's a Pretty Hat' followers wear their hats - Part One

That's a Pretty Hat blog commenters wearing hats

I am turning That's a Pretty Hat over to
my fellow hat wearers today!

I really enjoy reading your comments.
I have discovered great
indie fashion blogs, vintage fashion blogs,
street style blogs and personal style blogs
because the stylish women behind them
commented on my hat blog.

I especially like it when visitors tell me about their hats,
so I asked some recent commenters
to send me their best hat photos.

Pop Champagne
Julie from Pop Champagne says that," a hat can really
change an outfit, this hat made me feel doll-chic
due to the black bow on the side.
It's an ideal accessory particular for bad hair days,
or if you're just too lazy to do your hair sometimes."

Lily Says Go
Lily from Lily Says Go said, "this little straw fedora from J.Crew
is the one and only hat I own, aside from
a few baseball caps reserved for cabin weekends and gardening.
I wore it quite often all summer.
Usually it was something I put on if my hair wasn't
working the way I'd wanted it to,
but I like how it gives an outfit a little extra interest and style.
It's small and casual enough that even
a novice hat wearer like me can feel at ease in it.
I think it's a stepping stone towards
more adventurous hat wearing in the future!"

Chronically Vintage

Chronically Vintage

Jessica from Chronically Vintage says,"whenever I wear
one of my vintage hats, I feel like I'm getting the chance
to carry on an age old tradition
(the sporting of elegant hats by women),
which sadly, by and large is no longer part
of the western dress code.
Hats have such personality to them.
They can be anything from sweet and understated
to wildly, madly eccentric, and a million things in between.
By the same token, they impart their personality
into one's whole outfit -
which they often set the whole tone for.
My modest (but ever-expanding) vintage hat collection
is comprised of chapeaus from the 1940s and 50s,
as these are the decades that almost always dress from.
I tend to favour femininely styled hats in classic cuts,
and am especially smitten by flower adorned toppers.
Like countless women before me,
I have a weakness for hats and find that I usually buy
at least one per season - all though I've been known,
on occasion, to buy three in a single month.
Hats are an integral part of my wardrobe
and one that I'll never stop sporting,
especially since there are so many amazing
vintage ones out there just waiting for me to discover them!"

Thrift Shop Commando

Tami from Thrift Shop Commando says,
"this Lancaster wool cowboy hat I found
at a thrift shop in Amador County, California.
I think it is cute and comfy and fits me perfectly.
Every once in awhile I like to go country."

Girl Lilikoi

Girl Lilikoi
Nuke from Girl Lilikoi says,"I wore a summer straw hat
and normally a hat will be the centre piece or
the one that set my outfit's mood and tone.
This straw hat number gives me a sunny and cheery mood."

Please tell me about your favorite or newest hat
in the comments section!
