What hat to wear with plaid - Stripes and Plaid and a simple summer sunhat

When it's sunny, you can find me 

on my new backyard deck

 drinking a glass of wine.

The first book I ever read on Kerala 

is titled "Where the Rain is Born."

My fiance Arun gave it to me 
so I could learn more about where he grew up. 

 

The soft pliability of this hat makes me feel relaxed. 

I could scrunch this blue striped sunhat

and it would bend. 

It's nature is to be relaxed and 'go with the flow.'

Maybe that's what makes it so great for summer!

This hat taught me another important lesson.

I didn't think it would look good on me
when I saw it in the store. 

Luckily, I put it on and realized 
it would be a great summertime hat.  

Now I always try on hats before I judge them.

There is something about 
the combination of plaid and stripes 
that screams "summer" to me.

Wearing this outfit makes me feel 

like a meadow of wildflowers - 

all the crazy colors combine 

to make a beautiful view.
