I recently visited Yonder Farms in Troy
in search of some ferns in hanging baskets
for my backyard deck.
Yonder Farms is a locally owned
garden center and farm market.
Their greenhouses
are filled with fruit trees,
colorful flowers, hanging baskets,
vegetables and herbs.
Visiting a flower shop makes me feel
so creative and happy.
I want to gather
all the blooming flowers in my arms
and transform my backyard
into an unruly sea of colors!
Loft hat, Brooks Brothers shirt, Petite Sophisticate pant, vintage sandals
I found this hat at a Loft outlet store.
I like the strong color contrast.
I knew it would pair well with
most blue and white outfits.
This hat makes me feel adorable,
like a bouquet of flowers!
The brim is a little floppy,
but works well with sunglasses.
I think the bow detail
adds youthful energy.
I used to feel a little afraid of wearing
a brightly colored hat.
I chose to wear mostly beige
or black hats with just a ribbon detail.
Now I see that a hat doesn't have to
blend into the background.
Would you wear a colorful hat?
